In some cities, people can already hop in a driverless taxi, and many companies are testing fully autonomous driving.
Although the technology is still nowhere near the point where the car can handle all the driving while you nap, vehicles are getting better at controlling their own steering and acceleration in more situations.
It seems to be a good thing for customers, but not all people will benefit from self-driving cars.
