9 unhealthy habits that damage your brain

You do a few things you know you shouldn’t — we all do.

But some of those bad habits can take a toll on your brain. For example, sleep loss may be a cause of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Another one is you have too much time alone. People who have no real sense of connection may suffer from brain decline and Alzheimer’s.

Research also has found that parts of the brain linked to learning, memory, and mental health are smaller in people who have lots of hamburgers, fries, potato chips, and soft drinks in their diet.

Are you guilty of some of these habits that may be hurting not only your mental health but also your physical brain?

It’s important to be aware of these habits because damaged brain tissue makes you more susceptible to developing neurological diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease that stem from cognitive decline.
