When considering your mental health, what do you think is the difference between depression vs sadness?

Sadness is an emotional pain associated with or characterized by, feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, grief, helplessness, disappointment, and sorrow.

The symptoms of depression range from trouble concentrating, remembering details, difficulty making decisions, fatigue, feelings of guilt, worthlessness, loss of interest, physical pain to thoughts and feelings of suicide.

On the other hand, sadness is more of an emotional reaction and generally short-term lasting no more than a few days.
