8 things you unconsciously do when depressed

Depression is still misunderstood, despite being one of the most common mental illnesses.

In fact, there are some symptoms of depression that may go over our own heads, because it’s hard to notice some behavioral changes within ourselves.

Some unusual signs of depression include irritability. People who are depressed are more inclined to lash out at others.

They may also have pathological guilt about ridiculous things. An increase in alcohol or drug use is caused by the need to self-medicate.

Excessive behavior, especially online addictions, such as gambling or Facebook or shopping, may signal depression.

Excess daydreaming may also signal depression. People with depression tend to be more inattentive to their surroundings, which may result in more falls.
